Terminology
A short translation of TURN’s vocabulary.
Charge and KICK
BOOST is the normal stored burst. OVERCHARGE grows beyond a full bar. CATCH means holding it on GAS. KICK is the stronger burst while BOOST spends OVERCHARGE.
Slide and score
LOCK is stronger DRIFT. BANK secures a completed slide’s points. COMBO rewards a chain; DRIFT ATTACK and FLOW use their own scoring rules. LAP, LAST and BEST are current, previous and record totals.
Car and build
An ORIGINAL perk belongs to its car. An INSTALLED perk occupies its one extra slot. PERKULATOR equips that slot. STANDARD and SHIFT are the car’s two setups. Rarity names a perk category; read its effect to understand what it does.
Clean and valid
Clean driving stays on the road; individual perks may also require avoiding collisions. A valid lap follows the course. A VOID lap cannot become a normal lap record. An off-road-capable car still has to meet a goal’s rules.
Rival and ribbon
A rival is a recorded lap. The ribbon is DRIVE BY EAR’s guiding hum. Pace notes describe upcoming bends; engine, tyre and gravel sounds describe the car and surface now.
