What it does

With BOOST full, further drifting builds purple charge beyond the normal bar. Its stronger BOOST burst is called KICK.

How to do it

Fill with DRIFT, keep drifting to build OVERCHARGE, move to GAS to catch it, then move to BOOST to spend it.

Why use it

Prepare a stronger exit and activate perks such as APEX GRIP or TORQUE.

Timing

Watch or listen for the peak. Uncaught OVERCHARGE leaks even while you keep drifting. Catch it before waiting too long.

Advanced

GAS holds caught charge. Carry it over the finish line for a flying start, then spend it to pursue HEAD START. BRAKE or another action is not the same as holding it on GAS.
