LOCK

Commit to a stronger slide, then choose your exit.

What it does

LOCK strengthens DRIFT and lets you hold a more committed slide.

How to do it

While holding DRIFT, slide outward beyond that zone into LOCK. Return inward when you need to ease the slide.

Why use it

Use a sustained corner to build charge or a controlled scoring slide.

Timing

Enter with space available. Release early enough to straighten; a saved slide is worth more than one lost against a wall.

Advanced

CARRY ON reduces the speed lost in LOCK. DRIFT DEMON grows during sustained DRIFT or LOCK. On a full bar, the slide can prepare OVERCHARGE.
