What it does
SHIFT toggles between STANDARD and a second setup made in GARAGE.
How to do it
Choose three attributes to reduce and three to raise. In a race, slide outward from GAS into SHIFT to switch; do it again to switch back.
Why use it
Trade one set of strengths for another as the track changes, such as steering and drift into a bend or BOOST out of it.
Timing
Switch before the action that benefits. An unnecessary toggle gains nothing by itself.
Advanced
Ordinary SHIFT moves one point per attribute and keeps the 18-point budget. DOUBLE SHIFT moves two; FLOW SHIFT has a special benefit while FLOW is high enough.
